Disposal Guidelines

Use the following Disposal Guidelines  listed below to best use our services:

PUTTING OUT TRASH
Please have your trash out to the curb the night before your pickup day, or at least by 6:00 am on the day of pick-up. Please do not place your trash out based on the time you have seen the truck in your area previously. As we add new customers the route times will vary. Please make sure all trash is placed in the Liberty cart. You can put up to 5 bags beside the cart that will not fit inside.

MISSED PICKUP
If you put your cart out after 6am and the truck has already passed, call Liberty fast. If the driver is within 1 mile of your home we will call him back to get your trash at no extra charge. If he is further away you may decide to wait until the next week, or ask to have the truck return for a fee of $20.00.

EXTRA PICKUP ITEMS
The following extra items are not included in weekly service, but may be picked up by calling 24 hours in advance to get an estimate of charges. This includes large items like Furniture, Mattresses, TV's etc.

UNACCEPTABLE TRASH
There are many hazardous items that we cannot collect: Tires, batteries, motor oil, wet paint, and hazardous materials. If you need to dispose of paint cans make sure the remaining paint is dry (add kitty litter and dry). If you have these unacceptable materials, please refer to the web site www.earth911.com.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Generally if your pickup day falls on a holiday, the pickup will be one day later. Click the button on the navigation bar to the left on the words: Holiday Schedules to view a specific schedule.

"VALET" TAKE-OUT SERVICE
Customers who select the optional "Valet" service should place their garbage next to their house or garage in view of the driver. The driver will collect the garbage and return the containers to where they were placed by the homeowner.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER
Liberty Disposal picks up garbage rain or shine, however if the street conditions are UNSAFE because of ice or snow, or threat of hazardous conditions, we will wait a while. When this happens leave the garbage at the curb as normal and we will pick it up as the roads clear or as they are treated. Our priority is the safety of our drivers, helpers, and the public.
